Hiking is a great way to stay fit and active. Ascents will get your cardio going and descents are a good low-impact muscle building workout engaging quads, hamstrings and calfs. By using poles you'll also work arms, shoulders and back. And being outdoors also means you'll reduce your stress levels and general sense of well-being.

MORNING HIKE
When: Thursday, 3 October
back up date in case weather conditions force us to postpone: Thursday, 31 October DETAILS * Meet up time: 8:45 a.m. * Meet up location: it will be in La Côte area (between Nyon, Col de La Givrine and Col du Marchairuz). Exact location will be communicated on the Tuesday prior to the hike so we can profit from the best conditions for that week. * Return to cars: by 11:30 a.m. * Equipment needed: hiking boots/shoes, backpack and trekking poles. * Cost: CHF 35.-/hike * Minimum 4 participants to confirm date Level: medium, with some ascent but no technical passages |
EVENING HIKE
When: Thursday, 10 October
no back up date this October due to school holidays DETAILS * Meet up time: 6:45 p.m. * Meet up location: it will be in La Côte area (between Nyon, Col de La Givrine and Col du Marchairuz). Exact location will be communicated on the Tuesday prior to the hike so we can profit from the best conditions for that week. * Return to cars: no later than 10:00 p.m. * Equipment needed: headlamp, hiking boots/shoes, backpack and trekking poles. * Cost: CHF 35.-/hike * Minimum 4 participants to confirm date Level: medium, with some ascent but no technical passages |

We will still hit the trails. UNLESS the weather conditions make it unsafe for us to ensure a safe outing.

If there is sufficient snow, we will get our snowshoes out.
