Hiking is a great way to stay fit and active. Ascents will get your cardio going and descents are a good low-impact muscle building workout engaging quads, hamstrings and calfs. By using poles you'll also work arms, shoulders and back. And being outdoors also means you'll reduce your stress levels and general sense of well-being.
DETAILS * Meet up at 8:45 a.m. on Thursdays * Meet up location changes every week but will be in the La Côte area (between Nyon, Col de La Givrine and Col du Marchairuz). * Return to cars by 11:30 a.m. * Equipment needed: hiking boot/shoe, backpack and trekking poles.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT'S RAINING?
We will still hit the trails. UNLESS the weather conditions make it unsafe for us to ensure a safe outing.
